A Task Order (TO) is the “child” contract, to the “parent” IDIQ, that provides services to requirements based on the scope within the IDIQ Performance Work Statement (PWS). Customers coming to BESPIN will be awarded a TO to execute requirements.
Task areas are used to group tasks that need to provide specific service capabilities that customers can purchase within the scope of an IDIQ.
Each of BESPIN’s IDIQs are FFP (Firm Fixed Price) contracts that have pre-negotiated service costs based on application complexity.
Funds are executed via a direct-cite MIPR, or Form-9 Purchase Request. Customers will work with a BESPIN financial representative and Program Manager who can provide instructions if desired.
Generally, in terms of Air Force appropriation categories, BESPIN receives Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E; 3600) and Operation and Maintenance (O&M, 3400) funding. We can also execute Procurement (3080) funds. We can execute funding external service components (Army, Navy, Marine Corps, etc.) that relate to the above funding categories.
