Business and Enterprise Systems Product Innovation (BESPIN) hosted another successful Engagement Day on Oct. 27, bringing together government and industry leaders to identify emerging technology and services that could help further the Air Force and BESPIN’s mission of enabling mobile and web software solutions for the Department of Defense (DoD).
The event was hosted virtually and in-person at the Kress building in downtown Montgomery, Alabama. The engagement day featured a 30-minute overview of BESPIN followed by one-on-one sessions with five vendors interested in sharing their services, capabilities and technical solutions with BESPIN leadership.
“The defense industrial complex is rooted in the DNA of how the United States wins wars,” said Lt. Col. Tyler Hough, BESPIN Chief Operating Officer. “This fact has not changed in our posture as we look to win the next conflict leveraging innovation in cyberspace. As BESPIN continues to push the envelope delivering joint mobile solutions to the tactical edge for the next conflict, it is critical to learn from and hear from our industry partners to learn how they are continuing to push technology.”
First Lt. Matthew Murla, with BESPIN Strategy and Business Operations, said time slots reserved for vendor presentations were filled in record time and sparked interest from dozens of different vendors.
Development of future BESPIN Engagement Days that will offer more opportunities for interested vendors to engage with BESPIN leadership are already in the planning stages. Engagement Day will continue to be a collaborative environment focused on bringing innovative solutions to the DoD.
